Randy Moss press conference

Quick snippets from Randy Moss' first press conference in Minnesota since his trade from New England:
"I'm back home. To all Vikings fans pull your 84 jerseys out. I think this is going to be a fun ride."
"I've paid attention to this team and the success they've had over the years ... We'll take it one day at a time and see what happens."

"Me and Brett [Favre] has a long history with one another."
"Me losing a step compared to everybody else still makes me one of the fastest guys in the league."
"Me being in New England ... that was something special. All I ever wanted to do was be part of a team. ... They gave me the opportunity to go out there and play at a high level."

Moss said he had nothing but love and respect for the Patriots and for Coach Bill Belichick, adding that his conversations with Belichick were confidential. He did add: "I look forward to facing those guys on the 31st of October."

Moss didn't address some of his past legal issues in Minnesota, but did say of the party-boat incident: "What if I had been on that boat? There really would have been some problems."
And with that he was gone.
Brett Favre, wearing a Twins cap and a big ice pack on the elbow of his throwing arm, is speaking now about Moss.
"He obviously brings a different dimension to any team. I've seen it so many years. You just shake your head."
"[Moss] offers a totally different dimension."
Favre was asked if his elbow was bothering him: "A little bit, a little bit. I'm not overly concerned about it, but based on my 20 years, there's been little things here and there. I've probably iced it more the last 2-3 weeks than I have my whole career. ... I want to be crisp; I want to be smart about it. It's not like I've thrown to these guys my whole career. [Coaches and Favre] have talked about how many reps it takes to throw to these guys. I want to be smart about it."
